The new edition of the Iberian Congress of African Studies (CIEA) will take place in Barcelona on January 29, 30 and 31, 2025 under the title “African responses to the decolonial dilemma”.
On this page you can consult the basic lines of the proposal of the Network of African Studies that the Installing Commission established at the 11th Iberian Congress of African Studies (Lisbon, July 4 to 6, 2022), in relation with the Organizing Committee of the 12th Iberian Congress of African Studies, will present for approval during the celebration of the latter, in Barcelona, between January 29 and 31, 2025. The group of registered persons will then become a constituent assembly. From then on, the ICAE will become the congress and the main general activity of the African Studies Network.
