Through a theoretical <br \/>\nframework consolidated mainly by Spivak and Said with a post-colonial lens on the European <br \/>\nStudies Program, where it uses positional superiority, Subject-Constitution, and Object-Formation concepts, theorizing \u201cThe Other\u201d using anthropological writings and psychoanalysis, <br \/>\nand use destructive representation to investigate the positionlity of \u201cThe Other\u201d or its effective <br \/>\nabsence, this dissertation investigates and analyzes four core courses of the European Studies Program <br \/>\nat Malm\u00f6 University to address the knowledge about, and the representation of, \u201cThe Other\u201d <br \/>\nwithin the program\u2019s curriculum. It concludes that because of its origin as a field of study and the <br \/>\nthe dominant group that reproduces the knowledge about it, \u201cThe Other\u201d is better measured through <br \/>\nits effective absence, even if it has always been present.
